Union budget 2025 for a developed & prosperous India: Maharaj

The State’s Tourism, Public Works, Irrigation and Panchayati Raj minister Satpal Maharaj said that the Union budget 2025 presented on Saturday is proactive, worth welcoming and a budget for the common citizen.

Expressing his views after the presentation of the Union budget by Union Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman, the minister said that this budget is for a developed and prosperous India. He said, “This budget is one which aims to fulfill Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment and the dreams of a new energetic India. The interests of all the sections of society have been kept in mind while preparing this budget. Keeping those with an annual income of upto Rs 12 lakh out of the income tax bracket in the new tax regime will provide major relief to the common man while also enabling the nation to move forward on its developmental trajectory,” Maharaj said.

The minister further said that the Central government has taken various steps to further boost the pace of development in the nation through this budget. Various steps have been taken in the budget to ensure thee welfare of the poor, youth and farmers, which is a welcome development. Thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman for the presentation of a better budget, the minister further pointed out that the focus on tourism and agriculture will also benefit Uttarakhand. The provisions made to further boost tourism and enhance agriculture along with improving the condition of farmers will be beneficial for the State, the minister added.
