Union Govt to provide 10 lakh jobs before LS elections: Gurjar

The Union minister of State for Heavy Industries and Power Krishan Pal Gurjar has said that the Union government has taken up a target to provide employment to 10 lakh youths before the Lok Sabha elections. He was speaking at the Rozgar Mela- 2024 at Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) Seema Dwar here on Monday.
In the programme he handed over the appointment letters to 113 youngsters. On Monday such Melas were organised at 46 places in different States and Union Territories of the country. Gurjar said that the candidates selected in the Rozgar Melas will be trained before deployment.
The candidates were given appointments in ITBP, Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Assam Rifles, revenue, health, Delhi Police, finance and department of posts.
Earlier in the day, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the youngsters in a virtual mode in which he congratulated the newly appointed youth.
The youngsters thanked PM Modi and said that due to his efforts the youth is encouraged to fulfill the commitment of Viksit Bharat. The ITBP inspector general Sanjay Gunjiyal, deputy inspector general Ramakant Sharma, DIG R S Rana, DIG Pawan Mallik, DIG Manu Maharaj and others were present in the programme.
