Union Minister Jitendra Singh to address IIT Roorkee convocation

The Union Minister of State (Independent Charge), of Science and Technology, Jitendra Singh will be present as the chief guest during the 25th convocation of the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee slated on September 5. Besides him, the former chairperson of National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET) Nirmaljeet Singh Kalsi will be there as guest of honour. Further, the secretary, Union Ministry of Power, Pankaj Agarwal will be the chief guest for the award ceremony scheduled during the second session of the convocation. A total of 2614 students will receive degrees during the convocation
Informing about the convocation at a media conference on Tuesday, the director, IIT Roorkee, K K Pant said that the convocation is the celebration of the hard work and perseverance of students while signifying their transformation into future entrepreneurs and innovators. He also launched a promotional video for the convocation, highlighting the event’s details, achievements of the institute, and accomplishments of its students.
