UoP’s 3-day int’l symposium on integration of smart technologies to empower healthcare starts

Under the aegis of the University of Patanjali (UoP) and the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IITR), in collaboration with multiple institutions, including the American Institute of Management and Technology (AIMT), Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Dehradun and the Department of Business, Management, and Accounting at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES), a three-day international symposium on “Integration of Smart Technologies in Healthcare and Management” began here on Thursday. The symposium is being organised with the aim of promoting technology-driven, sustainable health management through the integration of smart technologies and encouraging public health improvement globally.

Speaking at the event, the director, IIT Mandi, Laxmidhar Behera said that modern AI impacts every aspect of life, but ethics are essential. He also dwelt on Synchrono City, innovation, startups and the preservation of Indian knowledge and eternal values by Patanjali.
In his address, Acharya Balkrishna stated that “Sahasra Chandra Darshan” symbolises the celebration of a long, healthy and enlightened life in the Indian Sanatan tradition. He explained that the fundamental principles of Sanatan are deeply rooted in farming and the lives of farmers, conveying a happy and balanced life through natural farming, respect for the five elements and harmony with nature. “Today, the glory of Sanatan culture is being established globally,” he said. He also highlighted the role of the Internet in healthcare. The director, IIT Roorkee, Kamal Kishore Pant shared his thoughts on telemedicine, digital health, AI and the global importance of Indian culture.
