A couple died in an accident occurred on the Badrinath National Highway near Devprayag, Tehri where a speeding car collided with a motorcycle on Wednesday. The in-charge of Devprayag police station said that the couple, hailing from Hapur, Uttar Pradesh, was returning home after their visit to Kedarnath when the accident took place.

The driver also sustained some injuries who was hospitalised in the nearby hospital. He informed that both the husband and wife died on the spot due to the severity of the crash.
