In an attempt to improve its work culture and enhance business and operational efficiency the Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited (UPCL) has implemented the concept of e- office in its headquarters. In the first phase, user IDs of the personnel related to all the sections of the Urja Bhawan complex ( headquarters of UPCL) have been created and all the offices have started working through e-office.
The corporation claims that with the implementation of e-office, all the works of the department will be done at a faster pace, and it will also bring transparency in the works.
Special emphasis is being given by the Managing Director, UPCL, for the implementation of e-office project in the corporation. The UPCL is also making efforts to convert all the regional offices into e- offices. “All the accountants, assistant engineers and all the personnel working on higher level posts in the regional offices have been directed to complete the process by the end of this month. On the basis of priority, the details of the personnel should be made available at the headquarter level so that the master entry of the office, mapping, roll allocation and user ID of the concerned personnel can be created for working in the e-office,’’ said a communiqué from the UPCL.
