UPCL ranked first in special category States in DUR

Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited (UPCL) has achieved first position in the special category States category in the Distribution Utilities Ranking (DUR) released by the Ministry of Power.
Stating this, UPCL managing director Anil Kumar Yadav said that this ranking is based on a variety of parameters set by the Ministry of Power, including financial management and transparency, quality of power supply, reduction in line loss and the implementation of smart technologies and improved consumer services. Additionally, UPCL has garnered recognition for securing the eighth position in the Overall Ranking of 66 power distribution companies across the nation.
Yadav emphasised that UPCL’s success stems from various technical advancements, digital billing initiatives, reduced line losses and enhancements in customer service, all achieved under the guidance of the State government. Following this achievement, UPCL plans to introduce further innovations and improvements in the power distribution sector moving forward.
The primary mission of UPCL is to ensure uninterrupted and quality electricity for all consumers, thereby facilitating better services and propelling the state of Uttarakhand towards excellence in the energy field. He also congratulated all officers, employees and consumers for this milestone, highlighting that this accomplishment is not only a victory for the company but also a moment of pride for the entire State of Uttarakhand.
