The Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited (UPCL) has decided to hold mega camps for the benefit of consumers at the sub division level every month.
A communiqué from the UPCL said, ‘’These camps would be organised to ensure better consumer service as per the mantra of simplification, solution and disposal given by the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. It has been decided that at least two camps will be organised every month at the sub-division level.
In the camps, domestic and non-domestic connections up to 25 KW (where power lines are not to be constructed) would be given on the spot. The consumers can ask for any kind of information or solution related to electricity including new electricity connection, solving problems related to meter and billing, replacement of faulty meters and complaints in the camps.’’
The management of the corporation has made the presence of all junior engineers and sub-divisional officers compulsory in the camps.
