UPES inks MoU with HCLTech to empower students with new-age skills

UPES signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with HCLTech to collaborate on developing advanced solutions for the oil and gas industry with a focus on sustainability solutions. In a statement released, UPES claimed that the MoU would enable the students and research scholars from the institute to intern with HCLTech and on successful completion of the internship, selected candidates would be offered employment in the company’s oil and gas consulting team. The release further stated that this collaboration would add rigour to HCLTech’s expertise in developing digital solutions and leveraging AI in the exploration and production of hydrocarbons, offering significant value to oil and gas companies.
Talking about the academic partnership, the vice- chancellor, UPES Ram Sharmasaid that the MoU would generate opportunities for students and researchers to work on cutting-edge projects and internships in the energy sector. “These projects aim to address critical challenges, reduce carbon footprints and deliver value to Oil and Gas organisations,” he added.
Hailing the MoU, corporate vice- president, HCLTech Ajay Bahl said that the strategic initiative would introduce solutions that promote sustainability, innovation, value optimisation and prioritisation of low-carbon solutions in the oil and gas industry.“This groundbreaking partnership between UPES and HCLTech promises to redefine the future of education, technology and sustainability in the energy and engineering domains,” he added.
