UPES is going to present the national space convention, Renaissance 3.0, along with The Indian Space Association and other organisations from April 21 to 23 at its Bidholi campus, enabling the participants to engage and network with leading minds in the space industry.
Former chairman, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) AS Kiran Kumar, director general, Indian Space Association, lieutenant general (retd) Anil K Bhatt, executive director of the Mars Society, James L Burk and director of Gaganyaan Mission, Human Space Flight Centre, ISRO, R Umamaheswran will be present as guests.
The convention will comprise four workshops and over a dozen fun and educational events. There will be solar and night observations using advanced telescopes along with a space exhibition for participants to showcase their models and projects. The participants will build their own rockets from scratch, launch them and identify comets and asteroids in order to earn a potential NASA certification.
