UPES, SGRRU to advance AI-driven healthcare research

UPES and Shri Guru Ram Rai University (SGRRU), Dehradun, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Wednesday to strengthen interdisciplinary education, healthcare research, innovation and industry-oriented learning.
Under the umbrella of SGRRU, Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital (SMIH), a 1250-bed multi-specialty tertiary care hospital, serves as the teaching hospital for Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical & Health Sciences (SGRRIMHS).
Speaking on the occasion, the vice- chancellor, UPES, Suni Rai said, “The future of healthcare lies at the intersection of technology, computer science, AI, research and patient-centric innovation. This collaboration with SGRRU reflects our commitment to building interdisciplinary ecosystems that prepare students to solve real-world healthcare challenges through innovation, research, and experiential learning.”
The vice- chancellor, SGRRU, K Prathapan said, “The collaboration between SGRRU and UPES marks an important step toward creating meaningful academic and healthcare synergies. By bringing together medical sciences, technology, and research, we aim to create impactful solutions that contribute to healthcare advancement, skill development, and community well-being.”
