UPES UHACKATHON 4.0 concludes

The fourth edition of the event UPES UHACKATHON 4.0, a 24-hour coding marathon, concluded recently. The inaugural ceremony was attended among others by the director general of Uttarakhand PoliceAshok Kumar, the founder and director of TiE Dehradun Sri Prakashand the State head, UNDP Pradeep Singh. Organised by UPES School of Computer Science led by the dean Ravi S Iyer, this year’s theme centered on the concept of ‘Metaverse’, the organisers of the event said. They added that to redefine the boundaries of technological innovation and collaboration, the event sourced problem statements from industry leaders such as India Blockchain Alliance, Metaverse and XR Couture.
The event recorded over 1,200 participants, spanning every nook of India and from across the international borders. Besides, there were more than 350 teams, each unravelling the challenges posed by the Metaverse theme. Following evaluation by a panel of industry and academic experts, 25 national teams and five international teams emerged as finalists.
Additionally, the event witnessed the presence of guest recruiters from KPMG India- Mudit Srivastava, Anil Singh and Jaspal Singh who presented job opportunities to the participants.
