UPES hosted the second edition of Elsevier’s International Conference on Machine Learning and Data Engineering (ICMLDE 2023). The office bearers of the university said that it had been facilitated by UPES’ organising committee in collaboration with the University of Dayton, Ohio, USA and sponsored by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Ministry of Human Resource Development and Department of Science and Technology (steered by SERB), Government of India.
Among those who attended the two-day event included the director general, Software Technology Parks of India (STPI)Arvind Kumar; professor of University of Dayton Ohio, USA Vijayan Asari and OS and director DEAL, DRDO L C Mangal. UPES claimed that over 1000 manuscripts had been submitted by people from 45 countries across the globe, including India, the United States, Russia, Oman, Sri Lanka, Hungary, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Canada and the UK. Additionally, an international workshop on Artificial Intelligence and Quantum for Sustainability, in association with IBM Research Lab, India, was conducted as part of the conference.
