In latest news from Dehradun, ahead of the general election, the State government is likely to hike the honorarium of the UPNL employees. As per sources, the State government returned the proposed 10 per cent hike in honorarium sent by UPNL management last year and asked UPNL to prepare a fresh proposal hiking the honorarium by 20 per cent. Confirming this, the MD UPNL Brigadier J N S Bisht said that they were engaged in preparing the new proposal and it would be submitted to the government soon.
