The Uttarakhand State Commission for Safai Karamcharis (USCSK) will conduct a review meeting today in coordination with various departments to analyse the progress of the Self Employment Scheme for Rehabilitation of Manual Scavengers (SRMS) while discussing the issues of sanitation workers across various districts.
“The meeting will be organised in the Municipal Corporation of Dehradun (MCD) campus by the commission”, informed Additional district magistrate (ADM), Bir Singh Budiyal. According to him, the representatives of various departments including the chief development officer (CDO), district education officer, district medical officer besides police department, social welfare department and municipal commissioners of the Municipal Corporation of Rishikesh (MCR) and the MCD have been directed to be present in the meeting.
