Uttarakhand Science Education and Research Centre (USERC) marked the World Water Day with Lakshya Society at the government girls inter college, Rajpur Road on Monday. Speaking as the chief guest, State minister Dhan Singh Rawat exhorted all to work for water conservation. He stressed on the need for preservation of water sources in the mountains and harvesting rainwater.
USERC director Anita Rawat spoke about the centre’s scientific activities. Speaking about the World Water Day, she said that the theme for this year’s event was valuing water. Stressing that all need to conserve water, she said that USERC is working to study and conserve water sources in the state.
