USERC organises training programme on material diagnostics

With an objective to increase capacity of students regarding technology, the Uttarakhand Science Education and Research Centre (USERC) in collaboration with Dolphin PG institute organised a weekly training programme on “Material Diagnostics and Analytical Techniques” on Thursday in Dehradun.
Speaking on the occasion, director of USERC Anita Rawat said, “USERC has been providing cutting-edge research, teaching and training to students in various subjects for the last two years. USERC’s endeavor is to establish state-centric research and development with national/international coordination. With the aim of this ideology, a seven-day hands-on certificate course on the material diagnostics and analytical technique is being organized from October 5 for postgraduate and research students of science subjects in higher educational institutions in the state.“
She further added that the said training programme is organised to increase the skill development of students through experiential learning.
The director of UPES Harendra Singh Bisht said that such a training programme increases the practical efficiency of the students, which helps them in studying. Apart from this it is helpful in research work. He said that theoretically as well as practical knowledge is equally very important for students to learn more and in an efficient way.
Commenting on the said programme, scientist of USERC, Prakash Nautiyal said that USERC has organised 31 free weekly hands-on trainings for higher education students across the state since last year.
