The Uttarakhand Vidyalayi Shiksha Parishad (UVSP) commenced the evaluation of board examination answer sheets on March 27. The additional secretary of UVSP Vinod Simalti stated that the high school and intermediate exams began on February 27 and ended on March 16. Subsequently, the evaluation of the answer sheets started on March 27 and will conclude on April 10. The answer sheets will be evaluated in 29 centres across the State with 16 of them in Garhwal region and 13 in Kumaon region, he said.
Simalti further informed that each centre has four master trainers- two for assessing class XII and two for class X answer sheets. The master trainers are trained to conduct training sessions for teachers in the centres during the answer sheet evaluation, he added.
Simalti further added that a total of 3,674 teachers have been assigned to evaluate the answer sheets of the board examination. He said that the process of evaluating the answer sheets will be done in steps, which include two or three inspections of revaluation of the answer sheets before declaring the result.
He informed that the result declaration date is expected to be April 30. The evaluation of answer sheets will conclude on April 10. However, due to the ensuing Lok Sabha election, the centres will be closed for a few days alternatively. He said that a total of 6,90,564 high school students and 4,47,596 intermediate students have completed their exams under UVSP.
Notably, the UVSP results for the year 2023 were declared on May 25. In light of this, Education minister Dhan Singh Rawat had directed the officials to ensure that the results of class X and XII should be declared by April 30 from this year onwards.
