In latest news from Dehradun, in a relief to the worried Uttarakhand Transport Corporation (UTC), the Delhi government said that the BS-IV category diesel buses would be allowed into the National Capital Region (NCR) till June 30 next year. Earlier, the Delhi government put a ban on entry of UTC-operated BS-IV diesel buses from November 1. Notably, 400 such UTC buses, including general, AC deluxe and super deluxe Volvo buses, ply to Delhi daily. The UTC officials said that by June 30, 2024 they would have a fleet of 130 BS-VI buses. At present, UTC has a fleet of 150 notified CNG buses which are BS-6 emission norms compliant.
