UTC signs agreement with Noida International Airport for direct bus services

Uttarakhand Transport Corporation (UTC) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Noida International Airport (NIA) to introduce direct bus services connecting the airport with major cities in Uttarakhand, including Dehradun, Haridwar, Rishikesh and Haldwani.

The UTC officials said that the initiative aims to enhance regional connectivity by integrating road and air travel, making transportation more accessible for passengers travelling between Uttarakhand and the airport. The NIA is located near the Yamuna Expressway and is well connected to key locations in Delhi-NCR, Noida and western Uttar Pradesh.

The officials stated that commercial operations at the airport are expected to begin in April. They expressed confidence that the collaboration will strengthen connectivity between Noida and Uttarakhand’s cities, ensuring a seamless travel experience for passengers. The transport network is expected to support the increasing air traffic while also contributing to tourism and economic activity. The officials further stated that officials concerned of NIA also consider the agreement as an important step in establishing the airport as an integrated travel hub.

They stated that providing convenient transport options to key destinations will help connect passengers to broader opportunities and experiences. The partnership is expected to improve accessibility, promote tourism and support economic development, they added.
