The secretary of the Uttarakhand Vidyalayi Shiksha Parishad (UVSP), Vinod Simalti said that Chief Education Officers (CEOs) in all districts have been instructed to ensure adequate arrangements and facilities at the board examination centres. This announcement comes ahead of the class X and XII board examinations, set to begin on February 21, which will conclude on March 11.
Simalti said that to prepare for the board exams, a virtual meeting was recently held with the CEOs of all districts. During the meeting, they were directed to ensure proper arrangements at all examination centres, with a clear ban on electronic devices for both teachers in charge and students. Additionally, the CEOs have been tasked with appointing teachers in charge at specific centres as needed, ensuring that the examinations are conducted fairly and peacefully, without any incidents of cheating. Apart from this, question papers, answer sheets and other materials have been provided to all the examination centres, he said.
Simalti further expressed his best wishes to all students participating in the examinations, encouraging them to stay stress-free and view the exams as a golden opportunity to showcase their talents. He emphasised the importance of maintaining the purity and sanctity of the examination process.
Notably, this year, under the UVSP, there will be 1,11,420 institutional candidates and 2,268 individual candidates in Class X, totalling 1,13,688 candidates. For Class XII, there will be 10,52,98 institutional candidates and 4,401 individual candidates, totalling 10,96,99 candidates.
