With an objective of all round development of Uttarakhand in the field of management, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kashipur would set up an Uttarakhand Cell in its campus soon. The cell would help different departments and institutes of the State in their management aspects.
A decision in this regard was taken in the meeting of the officials of IIM Kashipur with the Governor of Uttarakhand Lieutenant General (Retd) Gurmit Singh at Raj Bhawan on Saturday. A team of the institute led by professor Devendra Pathak gave a presentation to the governor during the meeting.
The governor said that the State has a renowned institute such as IIM Kashipur and its services should be taken in the development of the State. He said that as of now the institute has been directed to sign a Memordum of Understanding (MoU) with the agriculture and horticulture, tourism and Ayush departments and help them in management and analysis.
Similarly such MoUs should be entered with other departments as well. The governor also directed the universities of the State to ink a MoU with IIM Kashipur so that help in adopting modern management system is given to the universities. The governor also directed the IIM Kashipur to prepare a roadmap in this regard.
