Uttarakhand Congress vice president Joshi resigns

In a major jolt to Uttarakhand Congress ahead of the Urban Local Bodies election, the vice president (organisation) Mathura Dutt Joshi has resigned from the primary membership of the party.

He has send his resignation letter to the national president Mallikarjun Kharge. In the letter he said that he is resigning from the party after serving it for 48 long years. It is expected that Joshi will join BJP soon.

He was irked with the senior leaders of the party for denying Mayoral ticket to his wife from Pithoragarh.
