Uttarakhand Governor, CM Dhami greet people on Holi

The Governor lieutenant general ( retd) Gurmit Singh has said that the festival of Holi gives a message of strengthening mutual brotherhood and harmony by eradicating all discrimination. Participating in a Holi Milan programme at Raj Bhawan on Wednesday the governor said Holi is not only a festival of colours, but is also a symbol of social harmony, love and unity.

Greeting people on the eve of the festival, the governor wished for happiness, peace and prosperity and urged people  to celebrate a safe, environmentally friendly and harmonious Holi.

 In his message, chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that Holi is a festival of colours and gaiety as well as a symbol of our rich cultural heritage. This festival, celebrated in an atmosphere of joy, also strengthens the feeling of social harmony and unity, he said. 

The CM also prayed to Lord Badrivishal and Baba Kedar that this festival brings the colours of prosperity and progress in the State and brings more happiness, peace and good health in the lives of the people.
