Uttarakhand school news today: Smart classes to be made in 1,124

With the State government working consistently for digitalization of education, smart classes will be prepared in 1,124 schools during 2023-24 and the students will be taught in the hybrid mode in these schools. The Education Department has selected the schools for this under the ICT scheme of the Samagra Shiksha programme. In addition to this vocational courses will also be started in 200 other schools in the State. The State’s Education minister Dhan Singh Rawat said this while chairing a review meeting of Samagra Shiksha here on Tuesday. It was also decided in the meeting that vacant posts at the State and district levels along with BRP/CRP under Samagra Shiksha will be filled through deputation and outsourcing before March 2023.
Rawat directed the officials to prepare the smart classes in 1,124 selected schools without delay. At present virtual classes are being conducted in 500 out of 840 selected schools in the State while virtual classes will be started soon in the remaining schools. The minister said that the process has been started to establish smart classes in 1,124 selected schools from classes I to XII. Further, from the new academic session, vocational courses will be conducted in 200 schools in agriculture, automobiles, IT, electronics and hardware, beauty and wellness, tourism and hospitality along with plumbing. Already eight vocational programmes are being conducted in 200 schools under which 18,300 students have undergone training. Rawat also pulled up officials for various posts under Samagra Shiksha lying vacant for a long time at the State and district levels. The 955 vacant BRP/CRP posts along with all other vacant positions should be filled through outsourcing and deputation before March 2023, he directed.
