Uttarakhand to host 38th National Games from January 28

The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has officially announced the dates for the 38th National Games, confirming that Uttarakhand will host the event from January 28 to February 14, 2025. The announcement was made through an official letter, marking a significant milestone for the State.
Expressing her delight over the decision, Uttarakhand’s Sports minister Rekha Arya said the confirmation is a testament to the State’s meticulous preparations. She highlighted that Uttarakhand had been gearing up for these dates well in advance with guidance and recommendations from chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.
Arya emphasised that the event will be a golden opportunity for the State’s athletes and will leave a lasting legacy for sports in Uttarakhand. The minister assured that all necessary arrangements for the games are on track and expressed confidence that the event will be historic in many ways. She stated that the games will not only showcase the athletic talent of the region but also place Uttarakhand on the national sports map like never before.
She further stated that Uttarakhand is preparing to host the games with precision and grandeur, ensuring a memorable experience for participants and spectators alike.
