Uttarkashi district included in the Swamitva Yojana

Funds approved for 24 bed tourist rest house in Chaubattakhal area

Chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat granted approval for various development and public welfare works related to different departments. Rawat granted approval for including Uttarkashi district in the Swamitva Yojana. Additionally, he also granted approval for issuing notification  for survey and document operation under land revenue act for populated areas of 674 revenue villages in Uttarkashi.

The CM further approved Rs 19.73 lakh for five works under the Irrigation department. A proposal amounting to Rs 40.39 lakh for strengthening of drinking water scheme in Purola Nagar Panchayat in Uttarkashi was also approved. Similarly, Rs 75.97 lakh was approved for laying sewer line in Saraswati Vihar C Block and Devbhumi Colony in Dharmpur, Dehradun. The proposal for issuing Rs 30.38 lakh out of this amount in the current financial year was also approved by Rawat. Further, he approved Rs 42.12 lakh for installing 13 handpumps in various rural areas of Dehradun. As part of the Mera Gaon Meri Sadak Yojana under the State plan, Rs 7.74 crore was approved for eight mountainous districts along with approval for one time release of the amount.

Further, the CM approved Rs 3.89 lakh in the first phase for construction of a 24 bed tourist rest house in Chaubattakhal area. In another important decision, Rawat granted his approval for starting a two-year post MBBS diploma DMRD course under the radiology subject in Government Doon Medical College. The main Tehsil office which is currently on the third floor of the multipurpose building on Dispensary Road was causing accessibility issues for senior citizens, women and the differently abled. Considering this,a Rs 22.78 crore proposal for constructing a new building at the site of the old dilapidated Tehsil building was also approved by the CM. Rawat also approved the proposal for granting a government job to the brother of martyr Suraj Singh Bhakuni of Kumaon Regiment.
