The Uttarkashi police celebrated the Vishwakarma Jayanti with rituals across all police stations, fire stations and branches in the district on Tuesday. The ceremonies were also conducted at the Police Line, Gyansu, along with various other locations in Uttarkashi, where weapons, tools and machinery were worshipped following traditional rites and chanting of mantras.
Several police officers and personnel participated in the rituals in the Police Line. The police personnel also performed rituals to purify their weapons, tools and machinery, reaffirming their commitment to their proper use and maintenance. Through the Puja, they prayed for success and safety in their duties, seeking blessings for the efficient and responsible handling of their equipment. The officials said that lord Vishwakarma is considered the god of creation and craftsmanship and revered for his unparalleled skill in engineering. The occasion every year implies the significance of craftsmanship and technology in everyday life. The police paid homage to lord Vishwakarma and renewed their dedication to their duties with reverence and responsibility.
