In latest news from Uttarakhand, the National Youth Day, marking the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, was enthusiastically celebrated in Uttarkashi district. To mark this occasion, the former district panchayat member and BJP leader Pawan Nautiyal presented a memento to a woman police officer for her relentless efforts to clamp down on crimes at a commemorative programme held at Karauli village. Besides, a memento was presented to the coordinator of the Red Cross in recognition of its contribution in the fields of health and education. The youngsters participated in various competitions while a cultural programme was held on the life and thoughts of Swami Vivekananda.
