UVSP holds meeting on UTET 2024 exam preparations

The Uttarakhand Vidhyalayee Shiksha Parishad (UVSP) held a meeting with the chief education officers (CEO), nodal officers and nodal examination centre administrators regarding the Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test (UTET)-2024 on Wednesday.
The UTET-2024 examination is scheduled to take place in 29 cities/towns on October 24. The examination for UTET I will be held from 10 am to 12:30 pm and for UTET- II, it will be held from 2 pm to 4:30 pm. There are 12,858 registered candidates for UTET I and 40520 for UTET- II. A total of 61 examination centres have been set up for UTET- I and 131 examination centres for the second examination.
Addressing the officials during the workshop, the secretary UVSP Vinod Simlati highlighted the responsibilities of the CEO’s, stating that they would be the chief controllers of the examination in their respective districts. They are expected to coordinate with the administration and the senior superintendent of police (SSP) of the district for security arrangements to ensure the fair conduct of the examination, he added.
The additional secretary BMS Rawat discussed in detail the work and responsibilities of nodal officers and supervisors while the deputy secretary Sushma Gaurav shed light on the work and responsibilities of the centre administrators and the role of the nodal centres. She added that the nodal centres of each city/town would operate as a control room for the examination from October 22 to 24. Candidates- allotted to all the examination centres- could contact the nodal centres from October 22 to 23 to resolve their examination-related problems, she added.
