UVSP sets up 17 additional centres for X & XII board examination

The Uttarakhand Vidyalayi Shiksha Parishad (UVSP) has established 17 additional centres for the class X and XII board examination for the year 2025 compared to last year. This information was shared during a recent meeting of the State Level Centre Determination Committee for the Board Examination conducted by UVSP.
The UVSP officials stated that in a recent meeting, secretary Vinod Simalti instructed the officials concerned to thoroughly assess the necessary physical resources and security measures at the examination centres and to communicate this information to the council office. The list of examination centres is being distributed to all districts.
The officials further informed that for the board examination in 2025, 2,23,403 candidates are expected to appear at 49 single and 1,196 mixed examination centres, including 1,13,690 class X candidates and 1,09,713 class XII candidates. The highest number of candidates, 48,033, will be from Haridwar district, while the lowest, 5,762, will be from Champawat district, they added.
The officials further noted that the highest number of examination centres, 135, have been set up in Tehri district, while Champawat district has the fewest at 42 centres. Additionally, 165 sensitive and five highly sensitive centres have been established across the state. There are also 39 new examination centres set up under the self-centre examination system. In total, 17 more examination centres have been established in 2025 compared to 2024, they said.
