The Uttarakhand Vidyalayi Shiksha Parishad (UVSP) has initiated the online registration process on May 8 for the result improvement examination for Classes X and XII for the years 2026 (first-time applicants) and 2025 (third-time applicants). Notably, on April 25, UVSP declared the results of the Class X and Class XII board examinations. A total of 2, 15,252 students were enrolled, with 112,266 in Class X and 102,986 in Class XII. Additionally, 92.10 per cent of Class X students and 85.11 per cent of Class XII students passed their respective exams. In Class X, 28.20 per cent of students secured first division, while in Class XII, 41.33 per cent received first division marks.
The secretary, UVSP, Vinod Simalti said that the registration for the result improvement examination had commenced on May 8. “This examination is available for both 2026 students, who are applying for the first time, and 2025 students, who are applying for the third time,” he said.
Simalti further said that the Class X students who failed in two subjects can take the improvement examination, whereas the Class XII students who failed in one subject are eligible.
Students must submit their prescribed forms with the required fees to their school principals by May 20. Schools will then fill out the online applications using their long ID on the board portal. The deadline for schools to complete the online submission of result improvement examination applications is May 24.
He also provided information about the fee structure for the examination. For Class X, the fee is Rs 200 per subject plus an Rs 50 certificate fee. For SC, ST and disabled candidates, the fee is Rs 100 plus Rs 50 for the certificate. For Class XII, the fee is Rs 300 per subject plus an Rs 50 certificate fee, while for SC, ST and disabled candidates, it is Rs 150 plus Rs 50 for the certificate.
