UVSP starts process of result improvement examination for classes X & XII

The Uttarakhand Vidyalayi Shiksha Parishad (UVSP) has commenced accepting applications for the High School and Intermediate Result Improvement Examination for the year 2024 from May 8. The application process will be open until May 27. Stating this, the additional secretary of UVSP Vinod Simlati informed that students who have not successfully passed the exams in a specific subject under UVSP board are eligible to apply for the improvement examination for the year 2024. He further said that candidates wishing to appear in the exam are required to submit the examination fee in cash in their respective schools along with the application form. The application procedure will be conducted online by the school. The council strictly prohibits the submission of offline application forms, he added.
Commenting about the fees for re-examination, he said that for general category students, the fees for the high school exam are Rs 200 and for intermediate it is Rs 300. Candidates belonging to the scheduled caste and scheduled tribe are required to pay Rs 100 and Rs 150, respectively.
Simlati also informed about the eligibility for the result improvement examination for candidates appearing in the high school or intermediate examination 2024 of UVSP. Only candidates who have appeared and failed in all the subjects in the main examination of the respective year are eligible to apply. Additionally, candidates who have participated in the experimental/internal assessment/project part of the main examination of any subject but failed in the examination due to being unable to appear in the theory part because of medical reasons or any other contingency are also eligible, he added.
It will be recalled that on April 30, the results for UVSP class X and XII exams were declared. In class X, 89.14 per cent of the students passed the exam, with a passing percentage of 85.59 per cent for boys and 92.54 per cent for girls. Similarly, in class XII, 82.63 per cent of the students passed the exam, with a passing percentage of 85.96 per cent for girls and 78.97 per cent for boys.
