The Uttarakhand Vidhyalayi Shiksha Parishad (UVSP) is all set to release the results of class X and class XII examinations on April 30. Giving this information on Wednesday, the additional secretary of UVSP, Vinod Simalti said that the examinations for high school and intermediate students had commenced on February 27 and concluded on March 16. “Subsequently, the evaluation of the answer sheets is scheduled to be held from March 27 to April 10 in 29 centres spread across Uttarakhand. Of these centres, 16 are situated in Garhwal region while 13 are in Kumaon region,” he added.
Dwelling on the process of evaluation of the exam answer sheets, he said that they have put up an efficacious system for this. “This will help the teachers tasked with the evaluation process assess the answer sheets flawlessly. Additionally, each centre has four master trainers- two dedicated to assessing class XII answer sheets and two for class X. The master trainers have been imparted training to conduct training sessions for those teachers who would evaluate the answer sheets at the designated centres,” he said.
Simalti further informed that a total of 1,993 teachers have been selected for high school evaluation and 1,581 teachers for intermediate evaluation. “In all, 6,90,564 high school students and 4,47,596 intermediate students have written their exam under Uttarakhand board this year,” he added.
Asked whether the upcoming elections impacted their preparation for result release, he replied in the negative, saying that they had made all necessary arrangements to ensure that the process was not disrupted due to electioneering. “We have set up new centres in the place of those taken over by the administration for poll-related works,” he continued.
To recall, the State education minister Dhan Singh Rawat had directed the UBSE Board officials in 2023 to ensure that the results of class X and XII exams were declared on April 30 from that year onwards.
