Vande Bharat Express starts operation, all seats booked till June 7

Uttarakhand’s first Vande Bharat Express started its commercial service from Dehradun railway station on Monday. The semi-high speed train departed from Dehradun at 7 AM and reached Anand Vihar terminal of Delhi at 11:45 AM, said the station superintendent of Dehradun railway station, Shashank Sharma. He said that the train ran with full occupancy and all seats are booked till June 7.
It will be recalled that Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually flagged off the State’s first and the country’s 17th Vande Bharat Express on May 25. It is equipped with advanced safety features including the Kavach technology.
The fare of Vande Bharat Express- DDN-ANVT (22458) from Dehradun railway station to Anand Vihar Terminal in Delhi for executive class (EC) coaches and chair car (CC) coaches are Rs 1,695 and Rs 900 respectively. The fare for ANVT-DDN (22457) for EC and CC coaches are Rs 1,890 and Rs 1,065 respectively. The fares include prices of morning tea and breakfast for DDN-ANVT (22458) and evening tea and dinner for ANVT-DDN (22457), as per the Railway officials.
