Vani-Timeless Ayodhya Non-Fiction Award to be presented to 3 manuscripts

Vani Prakashan Group, in collaboration with the Timeless Ayodhya Literature and Arts Festival, has announced a new literary award named Vani-Timeless Ayodhya Non-Fiction Award to recognise outstanding non-fiction manuscripts. Under this award, each selected manuscript will receive a cash prize of Rs 51,000, presented jointly by Vani Prakashan Group and the Timeless Ayodhya Literature and Arts Festival. Subsequently, the awarded books will be published by Vani Prakashan Group and formally launched at the annual festival. Every year, the award will be presented to three selected manuscripts in the fields of Indian knowledge traditions, art, literature, culture, social sciences, history, philosophy, travelogues and spirituality, said the managing director of Vani Prakashan Group, Arun Maheshwari.
He further said that to be eligible, a manuscript must contain at least 45,000 words and should promote the concept of unity in diversity in an integrated India. “The use of AI-based tools in the preparation of the manuscript will not be accepted. There is no age limit for applicants and a maximum of three manuscripts will be selected annually by the award’s selection committee. The jury for the 2025 award will be announced in April 2025,” he added.
Maheshwari further said that they were proud to have announced the new award in the holy city of Ayodhya. “We are confident that with the collective efforts of Vani Prakashan Group and the Timeless Ayodhya Literature and Arts Festival, this initiative will be immensely successful,” he said, adding that the award was being launched under the erudite guidance of the renowned Hindi litterateur Yatindra Mishra.
