Budget a document of State Govt’s priorities & commitments : CM

Praising the budget 2025-26 tabled by Finance minister Prem Chand Agarwal in the Vidhan Sabha, chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the budget is a vision document of the State government’s priorities and commitments.
The CM said that in the silver jubilee year of the formation of the state, the size of the budget has crossed Rs one lakh crore. He added that the budget has been prepared keeping in mind ecology, economy, innovation, inclusive and sustainable development as well as technology and accountability. The CM said that many new things such as river front development scheme, formation of Pravasi Uttarakhandi council, operation of electric buses under smart city project and establishment of Sports University and creation of revolving fund for Police personnel have been included in the budget this year.
“The budget is based on the theme of ‘NaMo’ which is innovation, self-reliant Uttarakhand, great heritage and human resources. He said that for the inclusive and holistic development of the State the concept of ‘GYAN’ that is welfare of Garib, Yuva, Annadata and Nari has been kept at the centre of budget’’, he said.
Dhami said that the State government has also laid special emphasis on financial management in this budget. He added that in the budget, special attention has also been given to the development of areas like education, rural development, infrastructure, medicine and industry.
The CM said that this budget is in line with the basic mantra of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas.
