Vehicles of riot accused engaged in Gaula river work to be deregistered

In latest news from Uttarakhand, a day after Nainital police circulated posters of nine accused of the recent Vanbhulpura riots, the district administration, Nainital has decided at the crucial mining committee meeting chaired by the district magistrate Vandana that the registration of the vehicles engaged in activities on Gaula river belonging to the Haldwani riot accused and their relatives would be de-registered with immediate effect. This aside, the land freed from encroachment in the Malkia Ke Bagicha which had triggered the violence would be used to house the Muskan and Anganwadi centres meant for the children of the labourers engaged in works in Gaula river. Besides, the additional regional transport officer (ARTO) Ramnagar was directed to have CCTVs installed at the exit gates of the areas by Koshi river where mining activities are going on.
