Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar and his wife Sudesh Dhankar offered prayers in Gangotri after arriving in Uttarakhand on Thursday. Dhankar later shared on X that he felt blessed after paying obeisance at the holy Gangotri Dham in Uttarkashi. He also appreciated the sacredness and beauty of the area.
Earlier, the Vice President reached Dehradun on his two-day State visit. He was received by the governor lieutenant general (retd) Gurmit Singh and Haridwar MP Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, among others. Dhankar is slated to visit Badrinath and Kedarnath on Friday. He will also attend the conclusion of the United Nations Forum on Forests being held at Forest Research Institute in Dehradun.
