Vigilance calls UAU’s registrar in headquarters regarding alleged irregularities

The Vigilance Department has called the registrar of Uttarakhand Ayurveda University (UAU) Anoop Gakhar to its headquarters on Friday regarding the irregularities in the university between 2017 and 2021. 

The vigilance had reportedly called Gakhar in the headquarters along with some documents related to the alleged irregularities in recruitment and financial decisions that occurred in the university over a period of five years since 2017, as per the officials.

The department had sent a summon letter to the registrar on Wednesday under section 91 of the code of criminal procedure (CrPC). He was directed via summon to appear in the vigilance headquarters at 11 AM on Friday to record his statement regarding the alleged scam in the university, said the officials.
