The officers and employees of UJVN Limited remembered the martyrs and paid rich tributes to them on the occasion of Vijay Diwas on Friday. On the orders of the managing director Sandeep Singhal programmes were organised in different powerhouses and project sites on the day.
Addressing a programme organised at Ganga Bhawan, the human resources director Rajendra Singh said that the Indian army took only 14 days to free eastern Pakistan (now Bangladesh) from the clutches of the Pakistani army. Vijay Diwas is celebrated to commemorate the historic victory of Indian armed forces in this war, he said. Large number of officers and employees attended these programmes.
