Venkateshawara Institute of Medical Science (VIMS) bagged five gold, four silver and three bronze medals in slew of competitive events like street drama themed on foeticide, classical dance presentation on women empowerment, debate and run for unity during the Pulse 2023-the university sports and cultural fest- sponsored by AIIMS Delhi that commenced on September 17 and concluded on September 25.
Sounding exulted on the performances of the students of VIMS in the fest, the chairperson of the Venkateshawara Group of Institutions Sudhir Giri said that the students of VIMS have displayed their cultural and sports mettle in course of the fest. The pro vice-chancellor of Shri Venkateshawara University Rajeev Tyagi said that the medal winners of the fest would be appropriately felicitated at a programme to be organised in the institute’s premises.
Speaking on the AIIMS-organised eight-day university sports and cultural fest, the programme coordinator and chief warden Dr B B Bora said that over 100 medical colleges and universities from across the country had participated in the fest.
