Vidhan Sabha speaker Ritu Khanduri visited the Gandhi Shilp Bazaar/Khadi Mahotsav 2023 at Race Course on the weekend. Stating that handmade items are once again rising in popularity across the world, she said that the handicrafts of Uttarakhand are also making their place in the market at a brisk pace.
The event is being organised by Bhartiya Gramothan Sanstha with the office of the Development Commissioner for Handicrafts. Event organizer Anil Chandola said that the fair which is set to conclude on Monday has been attracting visitors wanting to purchase items made by artisans from Uttarakhand and across the nation. Local fibre craft, Aipan, terracotta products, wood carving, Madhubani paintings, jute and woolen products along with other items are being sold at this event.
