VMSBUTU marks IYD with Yoga & plantation

Veer Madho Singh Bhandari Uttarakhand Technical University (VMSBUTU) organised a special Yoga session and a plantation drive to mark International Yoga Day on Sunday.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of vice chancellor Tripta Thakur. Yoga instructor Sadhana Singh conducted the session and highlighted the significance of Yoga, Pranayama and meditation in achieving physical well-being, mental balance, and spiritual growth.

Thakur said that Yoga is an invaluable legacy of Indian culture that empowers individuals physically, mentally, and emotionally.

She further emphasised that a healthy lifestyle and environmental conservation are fundamental pillars of sustainable development, and encouraged young people to imbibe these values in their daily lives. A plantation drive was also held on campus to mark the occasion.
