CM addresses public rallies in support of party candidate in Bageshwar constituency
Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held road shows and addressed public gatherings in Garud and Bageshwar in the Bageshwar Assembly constituency to seek support for the Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Parvati Dass. The CM addressed large crowds on Saturday, two days before polling is scheduled to be held in the Bageshwar Assembly by-elections on September 5.
The CM held a roadshow in Garud and addressed a large public gathering at KD Pandey Ramlila Maidan. Reacting to the large number of people gathered on the occasion, the CM said that the voters will put their stamp of approval on the development works done by the BJP government in the Bageshwar Assembly by-election. He spoke about the various developments achieved by the State government and the steps being taken to ensure development and public welfare in the State. He said that the BJP had always received the support of women who have also played a major role in all spheres of life in the State. Stating that the overwhelming support for the BJP candidate is evident from the large number of people who had gathered on the occasion. Dhami further said that it is important for the late Bageshwar MLA and cabinet minister Chandan Ram Dass’ wife and BJP candidate Parvati Dass to win this by-election in order to speed up development works in the constituency. “Our government has approved various schemes and a considerable budget for the development of Bageshwar. The State government has also taken steps towards implementation of the uniform civil code in Uttarakhand and 10 per cent reservation for Statehood activists. We are also working to mitigate the human-wildlife conflict. With the blessings of the voters, Parvati Das will complete the unfinished works of the late MLA Chandan Ram Dass,” said the CM.
Addressing the gathering, the BJP State president Mahendra Bhatt said that under the leadership of CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, the BJP government is creating new dimensions of development in Uttarakhand. The enthusiasm of the party workers and response of the public shows that the BJP is moving towards a massive victory in the Bageshwar by-election, he said. Cabinet minister Rekha Arya also expressed her views on the occasion.
