VS appointments- Agarwal’s role comes under cloud?

The allegations of corruption in the ad hoc appointments in Uttarakhand Vidhan Sabha have created an uncomfortable situation for the Finance and Urban Development minister Prem Chand Agarwal who held the chair of speaker of Assembly when these appointments were made.
Agarwal on Saturday deafened himself by claiming that the appointments were made as per the rules and said that the appointments were ad hoc. It is pertinent to mention here that the Uttarakhand government has imposed a ban on ad hoc appointments and citing this the then Finance secretary Amit Singh Negi had refused to release the budget for the new appointments in Vidhan Sabha. Interestingly the salaries of these employees were released on March 30, a day after Prem Chand Agarwal took charge of the Finance portfolio.
Former chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has also put Agarwal in a spot by claiming that the issue of appointments
in Vidhan Sabha had come into his notice when he was CM and he was in favour of recruitment by public service commission.
