Clear and comparatively warmer weather was witnessed in most parts of the State on Monday after two days marked by rain and snowfall resulting in a considerable drop in temperatures. The State Meteorological Centre has forecast that dry weather is likely to prevail in all districts of the State today. However, it has also issued a yellow warning (Watch) regarding the possibility of moderate to dense fog likely to occur at some places in Udham Singh Nagar and Haridwar districts and ground frost likely to occur at a few places in rest of the mountainous districts of the State on Tuesday.
The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness a mainly clear sky with shallow fog/mist likely to occur during the morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 23 degrees Celsius and seven degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.
The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Monday were 22.3 degrees Celsius and 5.8 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 24 degrees Celsius and 5.4 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 11.7 degrees Celsius and zero degrees in Mukteshwar and 14.8 degrees Celsius nd 1.2 degrees Celsius in New Tehri.
