Warning- heavy rain likely in six districts including Dehradun today

Even as light to moderate rain was reported in various parts of the State on Sunday, the State meteorological centre has issued a yellow warning (Watch) regarding the possibility of heavy rainfall likely to occur at isolated places in Dehradun, Tehri, Nainital, Champawat, Chamoli and Bageshwar districts on Monday. Thunderstorms accompanied with lightning/intense to very intense spells of rain are likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of the State. Apart from this, light to moderate rain/thundershowers are likely to occur at most places in Dehradun, Tehri, Pauri, Nainital, Chamoli and Bageshwar districts and at many places in the remaining districts of the State today.
The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness a partly to generally cloudy sky. Few spells of light to moderate rain/thundershowers are likely to occur, of which one or two spells may be intense in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 30 degrees Celsius and 24 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.
Meanwhile, 56.5 millimetres of rain was reported in Rishikesh, 51 millimetres in Roorkee, 50.5 millimetres in Laksar, 38 millimetres in Yamkeshwar, 33 millimetres in Haridwar, 28.5 millimetres in Lansdowne and 10.5 millimetres in Dhanaulti on Sunday. The maximum and minimum temperatures were 31 degrees Celsius and 24.5 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 32.6 degrees Celsius and 25.8 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 20.7 degrees Celsius and 15.4 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 24 degrees Celsius and 17.6 degrees Celsius in New Tehri.
