Water seeping from lake created by debris on Mandakini at Bhimbali
193 roads remain blocked in various parts of State

Water has continued to seep gradually from the lake formed on the Mandakini river due to debris from the landslide which occurred at Bhimbali near the bridle path to Kedarnath on Sunday. Meanwhile, at least 193 roads were reported to be blocked in various parts of the State on Monday. Teams of the National Disaster Response Force and State Disaster Response Force, along with others are present at the location. Meanwhile, a total of 193 roads were reported to be blocked in various parts of the State as on Monday evening. Earlier, in the Rudraprayag district one person died and one went missing after a pickup vehicle fell about 150 metres down the road into the river on the Kalimath route near Ghaghli. The SDRF and police are searching for the missing person. Eight rural motor roads and two pedestrian bridges are blocked in the district. One main district road and 10 rural motor roads are blocked in the Uttarkashi district while one other district road and 24 rural motor roads are blocked in the Chamoli district. Similarly, one State highway and two rural motor roads are blocked in Nainital district while seven rural motor roads are blocked in the Bageshwar district. Three State highways and 23 rural motor roads are blocked in the Dehradun district while 19 rural motor roads are blocked in Pithoragarh district and seven rural motor roads are blocked in Almora district. Two rural motor roads are blocked in Champawat district while one State highway and one rural motor road are blocked in Udham Singh Nagar district. One main district road and 20 rural motor roads are blocked in Pauri district while 15 rural motor roads are blocked in Tehri district.
