Weapon and equipment display along with firing exercises were held by the troops of Indian and Kazakhstan armies on Sunday during the ongoing Kazind -2024, the joint military exercise of India and Kazakhstan at Auli in Chamoli district.
The commitment of two nations towards operational readiness was on display. The exercise entailed intense training sessions of weapon handling and different types of tactical firing positions.
“Exercise Kazind -2024 is focused on achieving operational synergy, bolstering interoperability and ensuring tactical precision in close quarter engagements,’’ a communiqué from the Indian Army said.
The exercise is an annual training event conducted alternatively in India and Kazakhstan. The last edition of the exercise was conducted in Kazakhstan in July 2023. The Indian contingent in the exercise has 120 personnel represented primarily by 5th battalion of the Kumaon regiment and Indian Air Force. The Kazakh contingent comprises 60 personnel drawn from the country’s land forces, air defence forces and airborne assault troopers.
